FORCE-CON 2022 - SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA - September 23-25, 2022
Join us for the inaugural 3-day superhero military convention and Art Festival involving action/adventure, animation, film, comics and literary works brought to you by Force-Con 2022. The event is inspired by the POW/MIA historical fiction story, “Purple Foxes United,” which involves female heroines who join together to save their brothers in arms. Many of the characters highlighted in the project are based on our real-life heroes and Honor Flight San Diego alumni veterans.
Ticket options include: a ticket for the 3-day VIP experience, or "Opening Night" at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, or donate to the event to help sponsor a veteran.
3-Day VIP experience includes 1 ticket to FORCE-CON 2022 opening night, "gala-style" flight costume themed red-carpet event, 1 VIP access on the Hotel del Coronado (North Beach) for Airborne Operations, 1 entry to "Remember the Fallen" community interactive art project and VIP seat at the "Meet the Heroes" and Art Festival.

DAY 1 - Friday, September 23, 2022, 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. FORCE-CON 2022 "Opening Night" Red Carpet event, Honor Flight San Diego and D-Day Squadron Fundraising Gala at the San Diego Air & Space Museum. FLIGHT THEMED ATTIRE ENCOURAGED! The San Diego Air & Space Museum will host a special presentation of “Into Flight Once More” to benefit the D-Day Squadron and Honor Flight San Diego. The documentary highlights the D-Day Squadron and their courageous 2019 mission to cross the Atlantic for the 75th Anniversary of D-Day -an amazing feat to participate and celebrate the end of WWII in Normandy, France. The film is narrated by Academy Award nominated actor and veteran advocate Gary Sinise. Introduction trailers will include the Legends of Carrier Aviation (produced by the Tailhook Association & Speed & Angels Productions), The League of Wives and The Monument of Tolerance. Many of the aviation Legends will be in attendance to celebrate 100 years of carrier aviation. A Film Panel with the D-Day Squadron crew members, and 100-years-young WWII paratrooper Tom Rice who dropped on the same drop zone as he did on D-Day for the 75th Anniversary commemoration ceremony. 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. Red Carpet VIP Experience
Happy Hour, heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served
Entertainment will be performed by the sensational "Sweethearts of Swing"
7:00 p.m. Honor Flight San Diego presentation
7:30 p.m. "Into Flight Once More" Feature Film
9:00 p.m. Special presentation by featured artist, Ruben Chato
9:30 p.m. Film Panel
10:00 p.m. Party Ends
Flight dress is encouraged; Anything related to flight; wings, flight suits, flight jackets, rotary contraptions, etc. We will have media presence and three photographers capturing the VIP's and distinguished guest (YOU) on the Red Carpet.
DAY 2 - Saturday, September 24, 2022, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., Airborne Operations, Hotel del Coronado North Beach. On Saturday, the iconic Hotel del Coronado will host the largest flyover of vintage DC-3’s part of the D-Day Squadron that served in WWII, among other monumental campaigns. Elite parachutists from across the globe will jump onto the beaches of Coronado with Wounded Warriors, POW Vietnam vets and WWII veterans. One of the last "Battered Bastards of the Battle of the Bulge," Vincent J. Speranza will jump with the All Veteran Group President Mike Elliot who has jumped President George H.W. Bush on three occasions.
DAY 3 - Sunday, September 25, 2022, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m., Remember the Fallen community art project, Art Festival and "Meet the Heroes" presentation at Liberty Station (Ingram Plaza). On Sunday, there will be a Remember the Fallen community art project, followed by an Art Festival and “Meet the Heroes” presentation. One of our featured artists and United States Navy Chief Petty Officer Joe Pisano will unveil one of his seven panels within “The Art of Immortalizing Heroes.” Pisano has also created the Remember the Fallen interactive artwork that will be auctioned in support of Honor Flight San Diego.
12p.m. - 1 p.m. The United States Marine Corps Band will play patriotic pieces for all to enjoy!
Art Festival and keynote speaker, U.S. Army "Battle of the Bulge" machine gunner, Vincent J. Speranza will enthrall the audience with his war stories of combat and liberation. Holocaust survivor and artist Tibor Spitz will follow with his wisdom on peace and love.
Force-Con 2022 is expected to be the largest superhero military convention involving all service branches and art forms. World renowned artists, best-selling authors, epic gamers and award-winning filmmaker’s will all take part in this 3-Day First-Ever extravaganza!
